The first day of school started out on a Tuesday because Monday was declared holiday by PGMA. My husband and I were both supportive of our little girl’s first day of school. Good thing his office schedule didn’t require him to report before 2PM so he was able to bring Yona to school as well.
We were positive that Yona will do good in school. She’s 4 years and 9 months already so we know that she’s mature and brave enough to face the dreaded first day.
At first she wasn’t cooperative, maybe because she knew that we were just outside the classroom. She didn’t participate in the exercises portion and was too sleepy during the first 30 minutes of the class.
The teacher made them fall in line for they’ll be having a school tour. We noticed how disciplined our daughter was. When asked to put their tiny little hands behind them, she followed without complaints and did this all throughout the tour.
We also noticed that she has the OCD tendency – and we hope that she’ll apply it on her things at home *sigh*
