At barely 5 months old, Lana weighs 6.98 kilos, that’s 15.36lbs, 9.4lbs heavier since she was born.

Like most moms with little girls, I love dressing her up. See that photo just above this? The size of the dress is 6-9M and it already fits her LOL She’s also wearing a cowgirl boots from achi Charlee.

One of my ways to unwind is staring at wind spinners. While others love to stare at fishes in an aquarium, I love spending “tulala” moments with my wind spinners. This is why I have a few wind spinners at home. They’re cheap and they bring comfort to me.

This is one reason why I wanted a larger home with an equally large grounds. I love the outdoors, it’s just so sad that we’re confined in this small townhouse.

I am just so OA.

I, no, my daughter Lana got an invite for a VTR and I don’t know if I’d allow her to do it or not. She’s so beautiful I know (BWAHAHA!) and she’d grace any commercials but modelling is a path that I dread. Nothing against anyone who’s into modelling but it’s a path I don’t want my kids to take.

I’ll wait until they grow bigger and could decide for themselves. By then they can decide whether they’ll model for Tide, Dutch Masters or Victoria’ Secret LOL

Sharing with you the video my brother Nep made. These shots were taken during our recent trip to Leyte. We went to a place they call Rawis/Sabang, a place where the beach and the river meet. Quite creepy I would say, good thing the two little princesses weren’t with us.

The open space near the shore was so wide and it has all sorts of junk, probably remnants from the recent flood in Abuyog, Leyte. We also found various never-before-seen (to us LOL) species hehe Unlike the beach resort of my aunts, this place has no Cabanas or clean shores. The place was filthy hahaha but we super duper enjoyed the experience!

Christmas 2011 Pictorial

A day before Christmas eve, my kids had a pictorial for Christmas 2011. They wore the same set of Christmas outfits bought from an outlet store, too fab I should say They wore the same outfit to celebrate the feast of Sto. Nino last Sunday. They already glittered, no need for more titanium jewelry, right?

My uncle took about 200 shots all in all hehe At first Lana was asleep but woke up in the middle of the pictorial… and look at how she glares at her sister! PRICELESS!

Last Minute Shopping at Rob Imus

A few hours before our flight to Leyte, I rushed to the nearest Robinson’s department store to buy gifts for my two other daughters – Caine and Charlee. I noticed a lot of shoppers and realized that they were having an all our sale on most items. This happens in most malls every after Christmas until the end of the year.

Some were shopping for furniture, appliances, toys, 40th birthday gifts and clothes for the new year.

So if you’re planning for a hassle-free shopping, visit your favorite malls after Christmas

Who’s fault was it?

Definitely not mine.

I shopped for gifts yesterday and paid for it on Cashier number 10 in Robinson’s Imus. On my basket were two shirts, 1 romper and shorts and a few hair accessories. I paid around 1.5K. I usually check tape receipts when I get home and more often than not I would see discrepancies (sobrang sipag ko magreklamo pag may mali sila LOL).

This instance I noticed that I didn’t pay the Fisher Price shorts. The cashier did not punch the Fisher Price shorts, maybe because:

it has no tags
she thought that it was part of the set
or it was a freebie (oh why, thank you!)

So who’s fault was it? the barcode scanner‘s? the cashier’s? or the checker’s?

Definitely not mine.

Yamaha School of Music, why not?

We noticed that Yona is musically inclined. She can sing so well and for sure, like her dad and uncle, she can play musical instruments, too! All she needs now is a little push and inspiration because the talent’s already there.

We have long been meaning to enroll her in a music class but I got so very busy with stuff that it got delayed…and delayed until I totally forgot about it! She already has a guitar, her dad already installed pa speakers at home and she’s inspired to learn more so I guess it’s just the right time to enroll her in music school.

Now, which school? Lea de Castro, Center for Pop or Yamaha School of Music? That is the question Lea de Castro offers a lot of classes and it’s very near her sch plus the rates are cheaper as well. Center for Pop is everywhere, I can see one center on each town. While Yamaha, oh well, we all know Yamaha. They’re good at what they’re doing and has made known musicians since time immemorial. The problem is, we don’t know any YSM nearby

Sassy Hairsies for my Fashionista Little Girls

Ever heard of Sassy Hairsies? it’s an online shop where you could find ~~beautiful~~ gorgeous handcrafted hair pieces for your little girls. And when I say gorgeous, they really are gorgeous. Trust me.

I came across their Facebook page and the kikay momma placed an order for Yona and Lana. The owner, Tin, was very accommodating and answered all my questions promptly (hooray for customer service!).

After more than a week (understandable since their products are customized, not mass produced), I got a thick tiny box from the local courier. Inside it were precious hair pieces loosely wrapped in sweet-smelling Japanese paper. You should see my reaction when I opened the box. I got all giddy excited that I forgot the headbands were not for me but for my princesses!

The head pieces were all pretty that I had to thank Tin over and over again

So if you want your kids to get noticed, let her wear pieces from Sassy Hairsies

Baby Einstein for the 3-Month Old Lana? Uh-oh…

Lana has become so attentive with the people around her, the movements, sounds and with this, I would say that she has already shown great attention to television, something that I don’t want to happen.

Television is so not good for small babies like her, I know that. But there are times that I really have to rely on the good ol’ television to nanny my kids There’s this one time while I was busy doing something (good Lord, not Facebooking!), her sister showed her Baby Einstein on her iTouch and boy she got so engrossed that she just stopped crying Hurray! Now, should I buy speakers for computer so they can watch it all day?

Bad mommy LOL
