Then this week, I caught her playing with paper, cutting them out, poking them and placing them in a thread so she could have a beautiful bracelet and necklace. Told myself that it was time to put the large hole beads out

I wasn’t able to capture her reaction when I handed out the box full of beads! She was ecstatic! Now all I need to do is buy her a box where she could place all her beads

“Pwede pa ‘yan” is a common saying here at home. We don’t replace things that doesn’t need to be replaced. We don’t buy things that we do not need because money is very hard to earn. And we hardly throw away things that we can still use (hence all the kalat, LOL).

You see we still use an old television. Not flat screen, moreso LED tv on flat panel TV stands. We use the 21″ and 14″ tubes It’s still not broken, so why replace it? Our ref is already 8 years old, it’s still working so I don’t see the need to replace it any sooner.

I want my kids to value their things like how they value every important person in their lives. They don’t get new toys just because they want one. I always tell them that we need to pay for more important things. Thank God they have wonderful aunts and uncles (grandies, too!) who could give them toys haha

You see it’s never too early to open their eyes to the realities of life. I guess it is better to start them young

A little over 7 months she can already stand and walk around in her crib without help from adults. She crawls fast, and eat everything that comes close to her mouth. Put her in front of the air conditioner and she’ll gladly stick her tongue out as if tasting the mist.

I could say that Lana, as early as now, is young and reckless. Very opposite from her timid and shy ate Yona.

Even before the school year ended, I already told Yona that she will be joining the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew. For just P550, she will get the chance to work in McDonald’s – her favorite fastfood and know the nitty-gritty inside.

Today was their first day, and despite her running a fever, Yona willingly went and enjoyed the whole experience.

The whole program includes them being assigned on the counter, drive-thru, etc. They’ll probably be assigned to clean the tables and other stuff.

This will go on until Wednesday and on Thursday will be Talent Day — Yona will show that she’s good in hula-hoops, she thought of Yoyo or diabolos ,  but never mind, she’s better with hula-hoops hahaha

Friday will be pre-graduation day hooray!

The P550 includes the shirt, cap, bag and their daily McDo meal plus the ticket to the graduation day. Not bad, right?

The McDonald’s Kiddie Crew experience? priceless.

One of my friends is into antique restoration and I find it really cool. He buys stuff from antique stores and spends a few dollars or so to restore it into its original beauty. Totally amazing talent. His dad is also into sofa restoration, he does leather furniture repair and accepts contracts from clients who live nearby.

Indeed, if it is broken, go fix it.

Given this, Yona has not given me any problems during immunizations, CBCs etc. BUT she hates taking meds. How ironic, right?

I am so done with baby comparison issues so I rarely check this site anymore. I could see naman na Lana is progressing very well, she is happy baby, doesn’t get sick and her eating is normal so I see no point in comparing her with other kids.

But lately, at a little over 7 months, we noticed that Lana can already stand on her crib.

That got me interested in checking the baby progress chart. I was surprised to see that most 8-month old babies still couldn’t stand on their cribs! That makes Lana advanced in this department. Right now, she is still babbling stage, no particular words yet, eats a lot, no teeth yet, experiences separation anxiety and she could drink water in a cup.

Indeed, Lana is becoming more and more like me: active and strong-willed — she has my physical features, too!

But things are different now, Tatay Noy is gone so we no longer have to be home in June. I really panicked when Yona asked me “so no Leyte trip this year, what are we going to do now?” Para siyang bombang sumabog LOL

So last minute I allowed her to visit her folks in Pangasinan, she stayed there for 5 days.

Earlier this week, we went to Magalawa Island in Zambales to bond with my eBay friends and their families. Wonderful experience is an understatement. Yona had the chance to swim in clear blue waters, pick star fishes (and put them back, of course) and snorkel.

Right now, Yona is an idle mode and she’s pestering me with “I’m bored”… so I wonder where she’ll go next?

Now here comes the planning! venue – check, photographer – check, videographer – check, souvenirs – check, giveaways for adults and kids – check, kids dresses – check though I still have to scout around Divisoria for the fabrics I need. Looking for the best gown for them online was the hardest! It was like looking for a plus size bridal dress hahaha So many choices yet I couldn’t find the best one for them.
